The Moon (2023) is a South Korean sci-fi drama about courage, sacrifice, and survival in space.

Five years after South Korea’s first lunar mission ends in tragedy, the nation launches a second attempt to reach the Moon. But when a powerful solar storm strikes, the mission is thrown into chaos — killing two crew members and leaving the remaining astronaut, Hwang Sun-woo, stranded alone on the lunar surface, hundreds of thousands of kilometers from Earth.

Back on Earth, Kim Jae-guk, a former space center director haunted by the failure of the first mission, is brought back to help rescue Sun-woo. As political tensions rise and international cooperation falters, Jae-guk must work against time and bureaucracy to bring the young astronaut home.

In the vast loneliness of space, Sun-woo battles technical failures, isolation, and his own fears — determined to survive and complete the mission his nation started.
