A Bittersweet Life (2005) is a stylish South Korean action thriller about loyalty, betrayal, and the cost of mercy.

Kim Sun-woo, a loyal and disciplined enforcer for a powerful crime boss, leads a life of order and obedience. When his boss suspects that his young mistress, Hee-soo, may be unfaithful, he sends Sun-woo to watch her — and to kill her if she’s caught with another man.
