Set in the desolate American frontier of the mid-1800s, Killing Faith follows Sarah (DeWanda Wise), a recently freed woman traveling westward with her young daughter — a pale, silent girl whose very touch seems to bring death to all living things. Desperate and terrified, Sarah seeks the help of Dr. Bender (Guy Pearce), a widowed physician who has lost his faith and believes every mystery has a scientific explanation.

Together, they journey through hostile terrain toward a remote settlement where a legendary preacher (Bill Pullman) claims he can heal the cursed. As their path grows darker and the girl’s power becomes undeniable, the line between divine punishment and human superstition blurs. What begins as a quest for salvation turns into a chilling confrontation between faith, science, and the unknown — where redemption may demand an unthinkable price.
